      How to manually manage prices?

      Pricepoint operates within a pricing framework defined in Rate Setup, which includes the Starting Price, Minimum Price, and Maximum Price. This framework allows Pricepoint to dynamically optimize prices within these parameters.

      For unique situations where adjustments are needed for specific days, users can manually modify the framework (aka Manual Prices) directly in the Calendar View. This ensures Pricepoint can still operate efficiently while accounting for temporary changes.

      Methods for Manual Price Management

      1. Adjusting the Framework for a Specific Day

      1. Navigate to the Calendar View.
      2. Click the Edit button on the specific date you want to adjust.
      3. In the Daily Pop-Up, modify the Starting Price in the middle column.
      4. Adjust the Minimum Price and Maximum Price, if needed.
      5. Confirm that all parameters are accurate and click Save to apply the changes.

      2. Adjusting the Framework for Multiple Days (Bulk Update)

      1. Go to the Calendar View and select Bulk Update.
      2. Follow these steps to apply changes:

      • To set a new manual framework, adjust the Starting Price, Minimum Price, and Maximum Price as you would for a single day.

      • To modify prices, choose the price component (Starting, Minimum, or Maximum) and apply a value or percentage adjustment.

       

      2.2 If we want to adjust prices, we need to select tthe prices we want to change (max, starting or min) and the add the value or percentage:

      3. Double-check all inputs and click Run to implement the changes.

      Important Notes

      • Designed for Specific Days: Manual adjustments are intended for short-term exceptions and should not replace the broader framework managed in Rate Setup.
      • Avoid Overuse: Frequent manual adjustments may indicate that the default framework needs revision. Contact Customer Success if you find yourself relying heavily on manual changes.
      • Manual Adjustments Take Priority: Changes made manually will override the default framework for the specified dates.
