Pricepoint's Preferences section can be accessed through the 'Settings' menu. Within this section, you'll find three sub-sections - Auto-Pilot, Weekend, and AI, each offering a distinct set of customization options.
In this guide, we will dive into these sub-sections and help you understand how to tailor Pricepoint to meet your preferences and achieve optimal results in your hotel's revenue management.
To access the 'Preferences' section, click on 'Settings' in the main menu and select 'Preferences' from the dropdown menu.
1. Auto-Pilot - Customize your approach to AI price recommendations by enabling or disabling the Auto-Pilot feature.
In the 'Auto-Pilot' sub-section, you can enable, disable, or reset the Auto-Pilot feature.
When Auto-Pilot is enabled, all AI price recommendations will be accepted automatically, streamlining the pricing process.
When Auto-Pilot is disabled, you'll have the option to review and manually approve AI recommendations one by one.
The reset button in this sub-section allows you to reset all existing AI recommendations, treating them as new. If Auto-Pilot is enabled, these recommendations will be accepted immediately.
Note: For optimal system functioning, we recommend leaving the Auto-Pilot feature enabled.
2. Weekend - Configure your pricing strategy by designating specific days as weekends.
The 'Weekend' sub-section allows you to configure specific days of the week as weekends by checking the corresponding checkboxes.
Setting certain days as weekends enables you to define separate default starting prices and minimum prices for these days, optimizing your pricing strategy for peak periods.
3. AI
In the 'AI' sub-section, you can choose to round the price recommendations to integers or allow recommendations to contain decimals.
Enabling rounding ensures that recommendations are presented as whole numbers, simplifying pricing decisions.
