Availability and rates between Pricepoint and Cloudbeds (intervals)

How do I manage availability and rates? 

Cloudbeds is the primary place where your property’s availability is managed, while Pricepoint works alongside it to optimise your pricing.

Managing Rates 

Base Rates

Pricepoint can only update prices for dates that already have a rate in Cloudbeds. If no rate is defined in Cloudbeds (or a rate of $0), Pricepoint cannot update that date.

How Pricepoint Integrates with Cloudbeds

Pricepoint pushes updated pricing for up to 1 year in advance. Please keep the following operational rules in mind:

  • Opening new dates: If you open new dates in Cloudbeds with a temporary high rate, Pricepoint will automatically overwrite them with your optimised pricing shortly after.

  • Restrictions: Pricepoint does not override existing restrictions configured in Cloudbeds. Any restrictions you set manually in Cloudbeds will remain unchanged.

Optional Calendar Automation

To simplify operations, you can enable calendar automation, which ensures your inventory remains open 365 days in advance and automatically opens new months as they become available.

When enabled, Pricepoint will:

  1. Populate Rates: Send pricing for newly opened dates.

  2. Automate MinLOS: Optionally apply your preferred MinLOS values to new months. Note that Pricepoint sends a consitent MinLOS for new months, but it can differenciate between weekdays and weekends. 

Example: If this feature is enabled on March 26, 2026, Pricepoint will populate rates through March 2027. If Min LOS automation is also active, Pricepoint will apply these values to the new period without affecting your existing Min LOS settings for earlier dates.

Summary

  • Centralized Control: Availability is managed directly in Cloudbeds.

  • Update Logic: Pricepoint only updates dates that have a pre-existing rate in Cloudbeds; rates of $0 will be ignored.

  • Restriction Integrity: Restrictions in Cloudbeds always take priority.

  • Automation from Pricepoint: Optional automation is available to maintain a full 365-day booking window automatically.
