How to Compare On-the-Books Values in Pricepoint and Mews

How to compare on-the-books booking values between Pricepoint and Mews, and what to check if the figures don't match.

How do I view on-the-books bookings in Pricepoint?

  1. Pickup Monitor: shows bookings based on booking/creation date. Note: this does not display cancellations or bookings with a price of $0.

  2. Reports > Reservations (Check-in date view): shows canceled reservations as well.
Note: if a booking was made and canceled before the property connected to Pricepoint, Pricepoint will have no record of it.

How do I get the matching report in Mews?

  1. Go to Reservations > Reservation report.

  2. Select the Date range you want to compare, adjusting the time as needed.

  3. Set Reservation type to Created date (this is the default).

  4. In Option, remove "Include additional expenses" and "Include products." These are enabled by default in Mews, but Pricepoint only reports net accommodation value — not fees, add-ons, or other services — so these need to be excluded for the two reports to match. How do I compare the two?

Once your Mews report is generated with those options removed, compare it directly to Pricepoint — the Average Daily Rate (ADR) and revenue figures should match. Keep in mind that cancellations made before the property was connected to Pricepoint won't appear in either system's numbers.

If you're comparing against a downloaded list of bookings instead of the report view, the relevant figure is the "Total amount" field.

What if the numbers still don't match?

If you've followed these steps and the figures still don't reconcile, reach out to the Pricepoint Support Team and we'll help investigate the discrepancy.
